Most men do not need a therapist; they need a campfire, fire pit, barbeque pit, burn barrel, or fireplace. They need a place to tell stories, laugh, and show emotions based on their actions, not only their feelings! They must reclaim places where there are no televisions, cell phones, Tictok, or distracting lights.
Men in church and community can be their own best counselors. Go on the journey with me as we explore a way to define healthy men and champion the development of a generation of men again. Our relationships, families, neighborhoods, and churches depend on it!
This work is written to men! It can only be fully appreciated when interpreted through the hormonal channels of testosterone; the test of its validity must be verified by the Holy Spirit (John 16:13). Women who read this might misunderstand. Apart from the appendix, I avoid trying to stereotype women as being “opposite” the descriptions of men. Instead, I labor to elevate the character and place of service men were assigned by God. I hope women will be thrilled to see men take their assigned roles as spiritual men and leaders in both home, community, and church.
